Stamford Announces 6-Week Mothers & Babies Program
The program is a free six-week stress management group for new and expecting mothers.

STAMFORD, CT — The city of Stamford Health Department last week announced the return of their Mothers & Babies session, which is a free six-week stress management group for new and expecting mothers.
The session will run on Fridays starting on April 14 through May 19 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and will take place at Stamford First Presbyterian Church (1101 Bedford Street). There is free parking onsite.
Babies up to crawling age are welcome. To register, you can call Brittany from the Stamford Health Department at 203-977-4389 or click here to register online.

"The Mothers & Babies session is an incredible resource for new and expecting mothers in our community," said Mayor Caroline Simmons in a news release. "The early days of motherhood are an exciting time but can also be daunting. I am proud that our city’s Health Department is offering this program, which will support mothers in our community and provide essential maternal mental health care."
Stamford Director of Health Jody Bishop-Pullan said motherhood is a tie of great joy but also a time of new challenges.

"Maternal mental health is a key priority for our department and that’s why we are happy to offer another session of Mothers & Babies," she said. "Moms will have the chance to meet others in a similar situation and learn tangible skills in a safe, welcoming environment."
