Stamford-Based AP Construction Hires VP Of Business Development

STAMFORD, CT — A.P. Construction Company (APC), a division of The Ashforth Company which is headquartered in Stamford, recently announced the hiring of Jim Cecil as the vice president of business development.

Cecil has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. He is responsible for overseeing APC’s business development initiatives across all segments including multifamily, commercial, private clubs, education, health care and senior living. Additionally, Cecil will spearhead APC’s efforts to continually strengthen customer relationships.

Prior to his return to APC, Cecil was previously director of business development at Nexii Building Solutions. Prior to that role, he was the director of business development for APC for three years and director of sales and marketing at EverGreene Architectural Arts in Brooklyn, N.Y. He also spent 13 years in advancing roles with Sherwin Williams, from operations manager in Norwalk, to account executive covering the entire Northeast.

Cecil has a bachelor's of business administration in marketing from Western Connecticut State University. He is a member of the board of directors for the Construction Institute and also a member of NAIOP CT, BOMA-CT, and REFA’s Fairfield/Westchester Chapter.
