STAMFORD, CT — Domus Kids, Inc., a community-based, multi-service nonprofit serving more than 1,700 young people in Connecticut, announced this week the appointment of Alberto “Beto” Casellas as its new chairman of the board. Casellas succeeds Rob Minicucci, who served on the Domus Kids Board of Directors for more than 20 years. The appointment was effective in late September.

Casellas, who is the organization’s first Hispanic chairman, will lead a 15-member board of directors with a focus on driving growth and development for the organization. He has been a member of the Domus Kids Board of Directors since June 2015 and will remain on the board’s Governance Committee.

"I feel privileged to take on this role at such an important time for the community as we seek to address the needs of the most vulnerable youth that are supported by Domus Kids," said Casellas in a news release. "Succeeding the tremendous work of Rob Minicucci is an honor, and I am looking forward to carrying his dedication to Domus Kids forward as we continue to serve the youth of Connecticut."
