Stamford Bridge To Close For Weekend Construction: PD

STAMFORD, CT — This weekend, the Route 1 (East Main Street) bridge over Interstate 95 will be closed between Courtland Avenue and Seaside Avenue as construction continues in the area. The bridge will be closed to travelers from 6 p.m. on Friday until 6 p.m. on Sunday, according to the state Department of Transportation.

During this time, both the I-95 southbound off-ramp and the Route 1 northbound on-ramp will be closed, and traffic will be detoured from Route 1 to Courtland Avenue and Hamilton Avenue.

The exit 9 northbound on and off-ramps at Seaside Avenue and the exit 9 southbound on-ramp will remain open, according to the DOT.

All I-95 travel lanes will be open and unaffected by the construction.
