Stamford Charter Revision Commission Accepting Applications

The commission is responsible for recommending to the Board of Representatives important changes to Stamford's Charter.

STAMFORD, CT — The Board of Representatives is currently accepting applications and/or nominations for membership on the 19th Charter Revision Commission, according to an announcement from the city of Stamford.

Matthew Quinones, President of the Board of Reps., said the commission is responsible for recommending to the board important changes to the city's Charter, which will affect Stamford's government.

Quinones is urging civic-minded Stamford residents to submit a résumé and short cover letter indicating interest in serving on the commission to:

According to the announcement from the city, the members of the Charter Revision Committee (as opposed to the Commission) of the Board of Reps. will be announced by the president of the board at the board’s Dec. 6 organizational meeting.

This committee will review all applications, schedule interviews, and recommend candidates for appointment to the commission to the full Board of Reps.
