Stamford Chorale presents concert on May 19

Brahms, Verdi, American Songbook, Spirituals to be featured

The Stamford Chorale will present “Music for a Sunday Afternoon” on May 19 at 4 p.m. at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 2810 Long Ridge Road, Stamford CT.

The concert will include the works of Brahms and Verdi, selections from the Great American Songbook and traditional spirituals.

Eric Trudel is the director of the community chorus, which is celebrating its 70th year. Cihan Yücel is the pianist and Charles Widmer will be the tenor soloist.

The non-profit group receives funding from the City of Stamford Community Arts Partnership Program.

Tickets at $20 are available at the door. A reception will follow the concert.
