Stamford Cingari Family ShopRite Unveils New Renovations
Stamford and ShopRite officials unveiled the renovations Monday morning in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
STAMFORD, CT — After five months, renovations at the Cingari Family ShopRite located at 200 Shippan Ave., are complete.
ShopRite and Stamford officials, including Mayor Caroline Simmons, unveiled the renovations Monday morning in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
"We’re thrilled to unveil the new and improved ShopRite of Shippan Avenue, a further testament to our ongoing commitment to serve the Stamford community," said Tom Cingari, Sr., president and CEO of Cingari Family ShopRite, in a news release. "With plenty of new offerings, expanded departments, and a fresh feel, we look forward to continuing our mission of providing quality groceries in a vibrant and welcoming shopping space. We also want to thank our customers for their patience during the renovation."

Among the upgrades to the supermarket is a brand-new floral department featuring a variety of fresh flowers with seasonal bouquets.
Customers will also enjoy a new bakery department offering fresh bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, tarts, and more delights that are baked each morning by the ShopRite team.

The store’s large selection of produce, prepared foods, deli items, as well as meat and seafood, are even more diverse and varied, thanks to major expansions to corresponding departments to better cater to the needs and tastes of customers.
"We understand the vital role that local supermarkets play in bringing communities together. They’re more than just places to buy groceries; they are the heart of our neighborhoods. This renovation reflects that commitment to community," added Cristian Silva in a news release. Silva is the general manager of the Shippan Avenue store.
The grocery store also updated its décor with neutral and wooden tones to create a more natural ambiance and modern look and feel across store aisles. The façade has also been completely renovated for a grand new welcoming entrance for customers.
There are 12 Cingari Family ShopRites throughout southwestern Connecticut, with locations in Bristol, Brookfield, Danbury, Derby, Fairfield, Norwalk, Shelton, Southbury, and four locations in Stamford.
The Norwalk location underwent similar renovations last year.
