Stamford Coronavirus Updates: City Has 3,084 Confirmed Cases

STAMFORD, CT — City officials announced Thursday evening there have been 3,084 confirmed cases and 71 probable cases of the coronavirus in Stamford as of June 11, according to state Department of Public Health.

While that number is slightly up from the 3,083 confirmed cases and 71 probable cases of the virus, also referred to as COVID-19, reported by the state a day prior, city officials also noted the department "has been reviewing its data and removing cases identified as duplicates, which may result in a decrease of overall cases."

In the city's daily "COVID-19 situation newsletter," officials also noted the state's interactive dashboard that tracks cases and deaths across the entire state indicates Stamford has had "193 reported deaths attributed to COVID-19 cases" as of June 11.

The city will host a mask distribution event on Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cloonan Middle School, located on W North Street.

Stamford officials also said Grace Church and Don Tonio will be sponsoring offering free tacos for "healthcare workers, front line workers and the unemployed" on June 13 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the 921 East Main Street parking lot.
