Stamford Democrats Decide on State Rep Candidate: UPDATE
For the 146th District.

Updated at 9:22 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016: Incumbent Terry Adams defeated challenger Dan Dauplaise Tuesday for the Democratic nomination to run for the 146th state House of Representatives District.
According to unofficial results, Adams received 499 votes, compared to Dauplaise's 263. Adams' share of the vote was 64.49 percent, while Dauplaise obtained 34.51 percent.
Original story: STAMFORD, CT — Today, Aug. 9, is primary day in Stamford, and local Democrats will decide between incumbent Terry Adams and petition candidate Dan Dauplaise as the party's candidate for the 146th state representative district.

Two polling sites will be open for the primary until 8 p.m., Our Lady Star of the Sea, located at 1200 Shippan Ave., and St. Bridget’s Church, located at 274 Strawberry Hill Ave., reports the Stamford Advocate.
Adams, who works for Pitney Bowes in Stamford, served on the Stamford City Council and was elected to the state House in 2014. Dauplaise, an attorney, ran unsuccessfully for the state Senate in 2012.
