Stamford Democrats Elect New State Central Committee Rep for the 36th District

The Greenwich lawyer replaces Edward Krumeich who was appointed to a state Superior Court judgeship.

Democratic delegates for the 36th Senatorial District have elected Stephen Fuzesi Jr. of Greenwich as the Committeeman to the Connecticut Democratic State Central Committee.

Fuzesi’s election came during a Special Convention held on June 30, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Edward Krumeich. Krumeich stepped down when he was confirmed as a judicial nominee for the Superior Court of the State of Connecticut by Governor Dannel P. Malloy. The State Central Committee is made up of two members from each of the 36 Senatorial Districts in Connecticut. Fuzesi will serve with Committeewoman Elizabeth Krumeich, also of Greenwich.

When asked what he hoped to accomplish by serving on the State Committee, Fuzesi said in a statement, “our party is more important now than perhaps ever before. It has the best promise to enpower our values and voice.” Fuzesi said he is committed to building on the momentum gained in Connecticut with the reelection of Malloy.
