During a two- to three-week period, traffic will be reduced to one alternating lane controlled by a temporary traffic signal. No road closures are anticipated during that work.
Beginning in mid-July, Eversource plans to install a vault at the intersection of Newfield Avenue and Vine Road.
The work will require one-way alternating traffic on Newfield Avenue at the intersection and will include a Saturday closure of Newfield Avenue. The work is expected to last two to three weeks and will begin after vault installation on Vine Road is completed and trenching crews have moved away from Newfield Avenue.
Residents should plan ahead and anticipate increased traffic congestion in work areas.
The route length of the project is five miles. More information on the project can be found here.
