Stamford Drug Dealer Must Pay $10,000 To Avoid Jail: Report

A Stamford man who has pleaded guilty to sale of narcotics and sexual assault charges may avoid jail if he can pay a $10,000 fine.

STAMFORD, CT — A Stamford man who pleaded guilty to sale of narcotics and sexual assault charges Tuesday can avoid jail if he pays a $10,000 fine in six months, the Stamford Advocate reports. Police said Philip Humphrey, 36, was arrested in 2016 after two drug exchanges and two sexual assaults.

According to the Stamford Advocate, Humphrey is accused of selling crack cocaine to a female police informant. He is also accused of groping the woman twice, and continuing even after she told him to stop, police said.
