The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

I believe the key to helping Stamford thrive is to continue supporting Economic Development. As we recover from COVID I will encourage policies that empower small businesses to grow. We also need to keep our property taxes in check by fighting against unnecessary increases.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
The ability to use technology to quickly communicate with my constituents and problem solve is a strength and ability that my opponent does not have. Maureen Pollack and I are running as a slate and we both believe that vastly improved communication and far greater engagement with our community is vital in this role. I have already developed working relationships with various City Department Heads with proven results which will be a clear benefit compared to newer candidate with no direct working experience.
Accomplishments:
In the past five years, I have helped obtain additional crosswalks and traffic culling measures on 5h Street. After Hurricane Ida on Sept. 2, I provided time sensitive information to my neighbors that experienced damage to help them with the City’s FEMA declaration. Currently, I am working with the Police Department, Traffic Department, the Principal of Strawberry Hill School, the PTO, and the Public Safety Committee to help protect students from traffic while walking to school, and design smoother traffic flow. I am already doing the work of a Representative on behalf of our community and our children.
Other issues:
Diversity and Inclusion, Citizen Engagement, Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety, Community Planning, Government Accountability, Full Support of Police and First Responders.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
I want to continue to grow Stamford as a city while keeping the small town feel. I am always taken by the patience, courtesy and friendliness of the people of our City, and I want our new and future residents to experience this as their first impression. It will be a fine balance between growing, keeping traffic running smoothly, and allowing families, the elderly, and children to enjoy open spaces and remain safe while walking and biking.
