Stamford Election 2021 Profile: Philip Berns For Board Of Reps.

STAMFORD, CT — Election Day on Nov. 2 is fast approaching, and there are a number of key races on the ballot in Stamford.

Patch reached out to candidates for local office to get more information on their campaigns and the issues that are facing the city.

Democrat Philip Berns, 64, is running for Stamford Board of Reps.

Occupation: Attorney

Family: Wife Joanne Giannoulis Children George & Antoinette Parents Joel & Manette

Experience: Board of Reps, DCC, EPB, HACGS, Mayor's Multicultural Council, and Family Village

Family in government: No

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Balanced development to maximize quality of life rather than profits of special interests.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

At this point (Sept. 27) don't know enough about opposition candidates.

Prior service on Board of Reps and successful leadership in numerous organizations.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

Many elected and appointed officials go about their duties in a daze and not understanding the issues they are dealing with and the means at their disposal to address them. Having seen this up close I can promise an entirely different level of comprehension and seeking of solutions.
