The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
The single most pressing issue facing our town is infrastructure. My goal is to sit on the fiscal committee and understand how the budget is allocated to various operations within the city. I will advocate for capital funding for infrastructure improvements for our schools, roads, and making Stamford more pedestrian friendly. I will also stand up for solutions that support our city and its facilities long term, rather than non-sustainable short-term solutions.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:
I work for a large professional services firm, working with development and oversight of policy compliance procedures, and directly with financial services clients every day. I will bring my financial and project management experience to the Board to: (1) devise and recommend creative solutions for infrastructure, education, and safety related operations; and (2) listen to my constituents and be their voice on the Board so issues can be addressed and resolved. Being accessible, responsive, and able to solve issues for people will define my service.
Accomplishments:
Having earned an engineering degree, I am a creative thinker and a problem solver who consistently and effectively manages multiple complex deadlines at work. At the same time, I juggle my responsibilities serving as a PTO Co-President at my children’s school, volunteering for other community activities, while also pursuing my master’s degree. My ability to multitask and get things done both at work and in my personal life is what makes me a suitable candidate for this position.
Other issues:
Serving my constituents is the top priority. The broader problems we have to address are the mold crisis and school infrastructure. We must ensure that we provide a safe public school environment so our children can receive the highest quality education, preserve our parks and public areas, fight for Stamford’s resources to be more widely available and accessible to all, and make Stamford environmentally sustainable.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
I have lived in Stamford for 11 years and in my district for 7 years, and I am proud to send my children to Stamford public schools. Stamford is a great place for families and children to live, and and I know it can be even better with proper infrastructure and facility improvements. I am excited to bring my experience and knowledge to the Board so that I can make a difference in the best possible way for my constituents.
