Stamford Escapes State Aid Cut Under Malloy's Latest Plan

Stamford only loses a few thousand - at least on this most recent cut by the governor on fiscal year 2019 state aid grants.

STAMFORD, CT - The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.

Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.

Stamford makes out better than most other municipalities - only seeing a $8,918 reduction from its $19.22 million allotment to $19.21 million.
