Stamford Man Faces Charges He Groped 8-Year-Old Girl
The incident reportedly occurred at an East Side Laundromat.

A Stamford man is under arrest on charges he offered $5 to an eight-year-old girl after he allegedly groped her in an East Side Laundromat while the girl’s mother was nearby.
Jairo Ramirez-Garcia, 32, of 597 Pacific St., Stamford, was arrested Aug. 16 by Stamford Police who obtained an arrest warrant charging him with attempted fourth-degree sexual assault and a felony charge of risk of injury to a minor, according to The Advocate.
The suspect was at the Wash Works Laundry on East Main St. on Aug. 9 when he walked up behind the child and grabbed her. The girl reportedly told the man to stop, getting the attention of her mother, who was folding clothes. The mother tried to hold the man for police, but he escaped after she tore off his shirt, according to the report which can be found here.
