A Stamford resident recently took home the grand prize from a scratch-off ticket.

STAMFORD, CT — A Stamford resident is $100,000 richer thanks to some luck and the Connecticut Lottery.
The resident won the grand prize after playing the $100,000 Cashword 12 scratch-off game. According to the CT Lottery, there are 5 million tickets of the game, and just 20 grand prize winners.

The wining ticket was purchased from a BP gas station, located at 59 W. Broad St., in Stamford.
