The Stamford Public Education Foundation (SPEF), which is dedicated to promoting equitable access to quality public education, brought together nearly 100 golfers (24 foursomes) for its first-annual golf tournament, Tee Off For Education on Thursday, June 29th. It was a day filled with fun and excitement as golfers enjoyed teeing off at Sterling Farms’ 18- hole course, followed by an awards reception for those winning “Closest to the Pin” (Male and Female: Lorenzo Scorziello & Cindy Parelli), Longest Drive (Male and Female: Dennis Thomas & Lynn Long) and Lowest Team Score (First County Bank: Brad Lupinacci, Greg Pastor, David Christiansen, Lynn Long). All funds received from this special event help SPEF deliver its educational programming, such as mentoring and tutoring, to Stamford Public Schools students.
