Stamford To Hold Public Meeting On Intersection Improvement Project

Residents are invited to learn more about the project and ask questions of the project team.

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Transportation Department will hold a virtual public meeting on Thursday, July 30, to discuss the Glenbrook Road and Church Street Intersection Project.

The project calls for reconstruction of the intersection to improve safety and traffic operations. Planned improvements include a reconfigured intersection, a new traffic signal, road repaving, new sidewalks, enhanced lighting and sidewalk bump-outs.

Construction is funded through the Connecticut Department of Transportation's Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program, while the project design is funded by the City of Stamford. The project is currently at the 60 percent design stage.

The Microsoft Teams meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Community members may attend to learn more about the project and ask questions of the project team.

Residents who are unable to attend may submit written comments by Monday, July 29, to Luke Buttenwieser, 888 Washington Blvd., Stamford, CT 06901.
