Stamford Hospital Receives Recognition From American Heart Association
Stamford Hospital recently received three awards from the American Heart Association.

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Hospital recently received three American Heart Association (AHA) "Get With The Guidelines and Mission: Lifeline Achievement Awards."
These awards are for demonstrating commitment to following up-to-date, research-based guidelines for the treatment of heart disease and stroke, ultimately leading to more lives saved, shorter recovery times and fewer readmissions to the hospital.

"At Stamford Hospital, our interdisciplinary teams provide both emergent and routine cardiac care, while working collaboratively to deliver high-quality outcomes to our patients," said Dr. David Hsi, chief of cardiology and co-director, Heart & Vascular Institute, and Dr. Scott Martin, medical director of Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Cardiology. "We are very proud of this recognition which is a true testament to our staff’s compassion, teamwork, and dedication to patient safety."
Get With The Guidelines and Mission: Lifeline put the expertise of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association to work for hospitals nationwide, helping ensure patient care is aligned with the latest evidence- and research-based guidelines.

As a participant in Mission: Lifeline and Get With The Guidelines programs, Stamford Hospital qualified for these awards by demonstrating how their organization has committed to delivering care in line with the highest standards of quality and clinical best practices established by the American Heart Association.
"I am pleased that we received these recognitions once again," added Kathleen Silard, president and CEO, in a news release. "The quality of care at Stamford Health is second to none, and I commend our staff for their dedication to patient safety and teamwork."
“We are pleased to recognize Stamford Hospital for its commitment to caring for those in their community who need cardiovascular care," added Dr. John Warner, past president of the American Heart Association and executive vice president for Health System Affairs at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, in Dallas.
"Hospitals that follow the American Heart Association’s quality improvement protocols often see improved patient outcomes, fewer readmissions and lower mortality rates – a win for health care systems, families and communities," he added in a news release.
