Stamford Hospital Receives Top Safety Grade
Stamford Hospital is the only hospital in Fairfield County to receive an "A" rating from an organization that deals with patient safety.
STAMFORD, CT — This week, Stamford Hospital received an "A" rating from the Leapfrog Group, an independent national watchdog organization that deals with patient safety. The organization's fall hospital safety grades were released Thursday, and Stamford Hospital was the only one in Fairfield County to receive an "A" rating.
The rating recognizes Stamford Hospital's performance in protecting patients from harm and providing safer healthcare in multiple areas, including infection prevention and preventing medical errors, injuries, accidents and other harm to patients, according to a prepared statement.
"I am proud of the efforts made by every individual, every day, and at every level across the organization, to maintain a safe care environment with a keen focus on evidence-based care practices," Stamford Health Vice President Rohit Bhalla said in a statement. "We are pleased to receive the Leapfrog rating, one of several external recognitions that validate our hospital's dedication to drive the best outcomes for our patients."
