Stamford Installs New Parking Meters Downtown
The new meters have a specific feature the old ones lacked.

STAMFORD, CT — The city has installed a host of new parking meters in downtown Stamford, which unlike the old style, take credit cards, officials announced on the Stamford Government Center's Facebook page.
"These new solar-powered meters have more visible text for any weather condition and they accept credit cards," officials wrote, adding that coins and the Parkmobile app also can still be used.
A little over a year ago, several dozen of the new meters were installed downtown on trial basis, writes the Stamford Advocate.
