Stamford Jewelry Store Owner Killed In Robbery: Police
Marco Jewelers owner Mark Vuono was shot and killed during a robbery, Stamford police said.

STAMFORD, CT — Marco Jewelers owner Mark Vuono was shot and killed during a robbery Saturday, police said.
Vuono, 69, was pronounced dead at the store by paramedics, according to Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin. No arrests were announced.
According to police, at around 2:45 p.m., a customer went into the store at 16 Sixth St., found "evidence of a crime," and called police.

An autopsy is being performed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Police asked anyone who has information about the case or saw anyone suspicious in the area surrounding Summer and Sixth streets between about 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday to call police investigators at 203-977-4417.
