Stamford Lord & Taylor Welcomes Food Trucks: Report
As the legendary store welcomes the mobile cuisine, the city is prohibiting the trucks at another location.

STAMFORD, CT — As Stamford takes away one popular spot where food trucks have parked, another spot has opened up on High Ridge Road to take them in, reports the Stamford Advocate.
City officials decided this week to ban food trucks from Spring Street, where four of the vehicles have been parking, because rowdy late-night patrons congregating around the trucks were disturbing residents in the area.
But the Lord & Taylor department store, seeking foot traffic in its huge parking lots that straddle High Ridge and Long Ridge roads, has stepped up to allow food trucks in its lots from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
