Stamford Man Is Accused of Biting Bar Bouncer
Police said the suspect was told to leave the bar for yelling at another customer.

A Stamford man is facing an assault charge after he allegedly bit the bouncer who tossed him from a downtown bar.
Accorfing to Stamford Police it was around 10:30 p.m. on July 23 when a police officer was flagged down by a 26-year-old bouncer from Bradford’s Grill and Tavern, at 83 Bedford St., who said he had just been bitten by a customer who was being thrown out for getting into a yelling match with another customer.

The bouncer said be was bitten on the arm and shoulder by the patron.
Police canvassed the area and found Jay Kelly and his wife nearby. Police brought him back to the bar where he was identified by the bouncer as the man who bit him, police said.

Kelly was charged with second-degree assault and breach of peace and received a $2,500 bond.
The bouncer had swelling and discoloration to his arm was treated at Stamford Hospital.
