Stamford Man Accused of Fondling 12-year-old Girl

According to a report, the incident occurred while the victim was at a sleepover with the suspect's daughter.

A 41-year-old Stamford man is facing sex assault and risk of injury to a minor charges after a friend of the suspect’s daughter accused him of fondling her during a sleepover, according to a report.

Aziz El Hattab was arrested by Stamford Police on Wednesday on charges of fourth-degree sexual assault and a felony risk of injury to a child in connection with the incident that occurred in July, according to The Advocate. El Hattab was held in lieu of $20,000 bond.

The 12-year-old victim reportedly spent the night at El Hattab’s home while visiting his own 12-year-old daughter. The victim said that El Hattab entered the bedroom where the girls were staying on three separate occasions and touched her breasts while El Hattab’s daughter slept nearby, according to the report. The girl contacted her mother in the middle of the night and when the mother picked up the girl, there was an argument between the families and police were called, according to the report, which can be found here.
