Stamford Man Charged with Two DUIs in Same Day

A Stamford man somehow managed to get himself arrested and charged with DUI twice in the same day.

Rudi Gonzalez, 25, was spotted y police around 3:30 a.m. Sunday driving on West Main Street without any lights. He evaded officers when they tried to pull him over, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Gonzalez hit several other cars during the pursuit and eventually crashed. He attempted to flee on foot, but was captured.

He was released from the hospital later in the day. Just before 5 p.m. police got a call about a suspicious vehicle, which turned out to be Gonzalez, who again was intoxicated, according to police.
