Stamford Man Given $500k Bond After Not Showing Up to Court: PD
The high bond came after he failed to show up to court to face forgery and other charges, police said.

STAMFORD, CT—A city man was held on a $500,000 bond after he failed to show up for court on forgery charges, according to police.
Shyquinn Dix, 21, was staying with a girlfriend in Bridgeport when he was tracked down and arrested, according to the Stamford Advocate.
He was originally arrested after he used a card cracking method to steal money. He deposited a fake $2,000 check in a People's United Bank account and spent the money the next day at Walmart before the bank realized it was a phony check, police said.
