The man was driving a 2019 Subaru eastbound through the park when he failed to negotiate a curve, Booth said. The car then sped up and drove through a small parking lot and struck a tree.

The man was taken to Stamford Hospital where he was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the crash, Booth said. The man was the lone occupant in the car — no other damage to cars or injuries to other people were reported.
