Update: Fatal Stamford Crash Claims 2nd Victim

Update: 3:20 p.m. Nov. 8:

The 70-year-old Cos Cob woman critically injured Friday night in a hit-and-run crash near the Stamford-Old Greenwich has died.

The woman becomes the second victim killed in the crash that was apparently caused by a woman driver who ran a red light and slammed into a BMW station wagon carrying a couple from Cos Cob.

Stamford Police said Judith Andriulli, 70, died from her injuries Saturday at Stamford Hospital. Her husband, Anthony Andruilli, 73, remains hospitalized with multiple fractures that are not considered life threatening, according to WTIC.

The BMW station wagon Anthony Andruilli was driving was broadsided by a Nissan Altima that ran a red light in the intersection of West Main Street and Alvord Lane, according to reports. The passenger in the Altima, identified by police as Nixon Henry, 50, of Ursula Place, Stamford, was ejected from the car and fatally injured.

The unidentified driver, described as a black woman about five-foot-five, wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and possibly a green jacket, fled on foot, heading for the Old Greenwich border, according to WTIC.

The Stamford Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad is asking anyone with information to contact them at 203-977-4712.

A 50-year-old Stamford man was killed and a 70-year-old Cos Cob woman critically injured in a two-car crash Friday night near the Stamford - Old Greenwich border.

And Stamford Police are looking for the driver of the Nissan Altima who reportedly ran a red light and broadsided the BMW station wagon the woman and her husband were operating at the intersection of West Main Street and Alvord Lane, sometime after 8:30 p.m. Nov. 7, according to The Advocate.

The driver, described as a black woman about five-foot-five, wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and possibly a green jacket, fled on foot, heading for the Old Greenwich border, according to WTIC.

The 50-year-old man was described as a passenger in the Altima who was ejected from the car by the impact of the crash. He died at Stamford Hospital.

The 70-year-old woman was a passenger in the BMW that was driven by her 73-year-old husband. She sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Stamford Hospital. Her husband also was injured and taken to Stamford Hospital.

Police have not released the identities of any of the victims.
