Stamford Man Wins $30,000 Lottery Prize For Second Time

A lucky Stamford resident has won his second $30,000 lottery prize in only a few years, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

STAMFORD, CT — Lightning struck twice for a lucky Stamford resident who won a $30,000 lottery prize for the second time in four years. According to the Connecticut Lottery, Thomas Perretta purchased the winning "30X Cash" scratch game from Cove Convenience in Stamford on March 4.

Perretta told lottery officials he had purchased the same scratch ticket at the same store four years ago and won $30,000.

"The first time the prize helped me pay some bills," Perretta said in a statement. "This time, it's going towards a new kitchen remodel. The rest will go in the bank!"
