Stamford Mother Of 6 Evicted While Hospitalized: Report
A Stamford woman was told her home had been sold and she was evicted while recovering from a brain aneurysm, according to News 12 CT.
STAMFORD, CT — A Stamford mother of six received an eviction notice while she was hospitalized and recovering from a brain aneurysm, according to a recent report from News 12 Connecticut.
Terrie Newton, 52, told News 12 she had lived in her Stamford home as a renter for 15 years and always paid rent on time.
But following a brain aneurysm and surgery that required an extended stay in the hospital, Newton said she was told her home had been sold and she was being evicted, News 12 reported.

A GoFundMe was started to help Newton with medical costs as she continues her recovery from the aneurysm and a stroke.
"We have set up this GoFundMe asking for everyone to open their hearts and donate so the family can afford to get a vascular neurologist who specializes in strokes and brain injuries," the fundraiser's description said. "She is dealing with pain and limited mobility, fevers and headaches as a result of her stroke."
