Stamford Open Houses Oct. 10-11: 15 Homes From A $295,000 Condo To A $2.5 Million North Stamford Colonial

Here are the upcoming open houses in Stamford.

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford's open-house weekend runs from a ninth-floor condo at Hayes House to a mid-century modern on the Rippowam River. In between are Shippan Point and Riverturn townhouses, a Cape near the Glenbrook train station that Zillow dates to 1861, and North Stamford Colonials with pools and in-law space.

Fifteen Stamford homes are holding open houses Saturday, Oct. 10, and Sunday, Oct. 11, with prices from $295,000 to $2.5 million, according to Zillow.com.

450 Cascade Road, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (also Sunday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.), $1,090,000. This North Stamford mid-century modern sits along the Rippowam River on the New Canaan border, looking out on protected watershed land, according to the listing. The main level has a living room with a fireplace and a primary suite with an architect-designed bath and radiant heated floors. The walkout lower level adds a fourth bedroom with a marble bath and direct pool access, and a deck overlooks the river and the pool. It's a four-bedroom, three-bath home with 2,407 square feet.

44 Strawberry Hill Ave. #9A, noon to 2 p.m. (also Sunday, noon to 2 p.m.), $295,000. This ninth-floor unit at Hayes House has parquet floors, oversized windows and a covered balcony, and the bedroom fits a king-size set with room left for a sitting area or desk. Building amenities listed include a fitness center, a courtyard with grills, a concierge, 24-hour security and reserved garage parking. It's a one-bedroom, one-bath condo with 795 square feet; the $709 monthly HOA fee includes heat, hot water and central air.

64 Huckleberry Hollow, noon to 2 p.m. (also Sunday, 1 to 3 p.m.), $2,395,000. Listed Oct. 7, this North Stamford contemporary Colonial on a cul-de-sac has a first-floor primary suite with a fireplace and a gourmet eat-in kitchen. The backyard has a heated in-ground pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen and a stone fire pit. The walkout pool level, which the listing describes as a legal in-law apartment, also has a playroom, a gym and a wine cellar. It's a five-bedroom, 4.5-bath home with 5,240 square feet on an acre next to a 6.6-acre park.

523 Newfield Ave., 12:30 to 2 p.m., $739,000. This raised ranch has a driveway for up to four cars, an attached garage and a lower level the listing says could work as an in-law apartment. A covered porch looks onto a flat lot, and active solar panels are on the house. The listing invites buyers to bring their own paint colors and ideas. It's a three-bedroom, two-bath home with 1,624 square feet. Its price was cut by $50,000 on Oct. 1.

25 Tremont Ave., 1 to 3 p.m. (also Sunday, 1 to 3 p.m.), $875,000. New to the market Oct. 8, this 1914 Colonial has a front porch, a kitchen with reclaimed wood beams and a living room with a wood-burning fireplace. The finished third floor has its own full bath and wood paneling that the listing calls cabin-inspired. Out back are a large yard and a private pool. It's a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home with 2,380 square feet.

33 Cedar Circle, 1 to 3 p.m. (also Sunday, 1 to 3 p.m.), $715,000. 27 Lindstrom Road #7C, 1 to 3 p.m. (also Sunday, 1 to 3 p.m.), $599,000. In Quayside Condominiums on Shippan Point, between Stamford Harbor and West Beach, this townhouse has a living room with a fireplace and sliders to a private patio. The primary suite has vaulted ceilings, two walk-in closets and a balcony, and a spiral staircase climbs to a skylit loft. It's a two-bedroom, 2.5-bath condo with 1,723 square feet and an attached one-car garage. Its price was cut by $40,000 on Oct. 5.

1611 Washington Blvd. #35, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. (also Sunday, 1 to 2 p.m.), $529,000. This end-unit, townhouse-style condo has central air, wood floors, newer kitchen appliances and parking for up to three cars. Residents get an outdoor pool and free fiber-optic internet, and the listing puts downtown and the Metro-North station a 15-minute walk away. It's a two-bedroom, 1.5-bath condo with 1,338 square feet; the HOA fee is $465 a month. Its price was cut by $30,000 on Oct. 6.

168 Belltown Road #A8, noon to 2 p.m., $525,000. New to the market Oct. 8, this townhouse sits in a quiet corner of its complex, with a backyard facing a single-family home instead of another unit. It has hardwood floors, a renovated kitchen with shaker cabinets and marble counters, and a new deck, new windows and a new storm door. The association has no pet restrictions. It's a two-bedroom, 1.5-bath condo with 1,260 square feet; the HOA fee is $320 a month.

78 Hardesty Road, 1 to 3 p.m., $2.5 million. This 2007 Colonial sits on just over an acre in North Stamford. A marble foyer leads to a kitchen with a Viking cooktop, Wolf double ovens and a Sub-Zero refrigerator, a family room and a living room with fireplaces, and a cherry-paneled library. The primary suite has a sitting room, a tray ceiling and a balcony, and there's a heated three-car garage. It's a five-bedroom, 5.5-bath home with 8,030 square feet, including a finished lower level and attic.

307 Courtland Ave., 1 to 3 p.m., $625,000. Zillow dates this Cape Cod-style home to 1861. It has a large remodeled eat-in kitchen, oak floors, an enclosed front porch and a first-floor bedroom and bath, and the living room's stone-faced fireplace is sealed and would need to be unsealed, the listing says. Outside are a fenced, flat quarter-acre yard and a detached two-car garage, within walking distance of the Glenbrook Metro-North station. It's a three-bedroom, one-bath home with 1,353 square feet.

1 Strawberry Hill Court #1A, 1 to 4 p.m., $419,000. This Regency Towers unit, on a raised first floor, has a renovated kitchen, luxury vinyl floors and a large, newly refurbished south-facing balcony. The building has assigned indoor parking and a concierge, and the $1,005 monthly HOA fee includes heat, hot water and cooking gas. It's a two-bedroom, two-bath condo with 1,339 square feet.

93 Ridgewood Ave., 2 to 4 p.m., $799,900. This 1964 Colonial has a bedroom on the main level, an open floor plan and a spacious family room. The listing calls the two-tier yard, with its many fruit trees, a gardener's delight. It's a four-bedroom, two-bath home with 2,295 square feet.

Make a weekend of it: Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. is the crowded slot, with five homes open, so split them by area. Tremont Avenue, Cedar Circle and Lindsey Avenue are single-family homes from 1914 to 1959, while Shippan Point's Quayside townhouse is a waterfront alternative. North Stamford fills Sunday afternoon: Hardesty Road and Huckleberry Hollow are both open from 1 to 3 p.m., and Cascade Road's riverside modern is open both mornings.
