Stamford Park Police Positions In Jeopardy: Report
The Stamford Police Commission has not reappointed them for the fiscal year that begins on July 1.

STAMFORD, CT — The city's park police officer positions have not been reappointed for the fiscal year beginning on July 1 due to a dispute between the Stamford Police and Parks and Recreation departments, reports the Stamford Advocate.
The officers report to the parks department, not the police department, though the Stamford Police Commission appoints the positions.
That schism does not sit well with the commission, which has not reappointed them for next year, in part because of reports of lapsed security at city parks.
