STAMFORD, CT — Within a span of eight hours, Stamford police arrested three motorists on charges of driving under the influence, examples that prompted the department to urge people to "use a designated driver or take public transportation if you choose to drink alcohol."
The separate incidents took place between 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 18 and 2 a.m. on this morning, Jan. 19. Partly as a result of the three arrests, police officials stated in a post on Facebook that the department will deploy extra patrols this weekend in search of drunk drivers.
