Stamford Police Association To Hold Fundraiser For Fellow Officer
Doug Robinson, a veteran of the Stamford Police Department, was diagnosed with cancer two years ago.
STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Police Association will hold a fundraiser on Friday, May 6 for fellow officer, Doug Robinson.
Robinson, a 33-year veteran of the Stamford Police Department and a hockey coach at Westhill High School for 23 years, was diagnosed with parotid gland cancer two years ago.
The fundraiser will be take place from 4 p.m. to midnight at the Knights of Columbus, located at 507 Shippan Ave. A $20 donation is requested. There will be raffles, t-shirts and music.

A GoFundMe has also been set up for Robinson by SPA President David O'Meara.
Since April 1, $24,340 has been raised out of a $25,000 goal.

"Doug has spent most of his life helping to shape the future. He is loved by most and respected by all," the fundraiser description says. "Please help us as we stand and support Doug and his family through this devastating time."
