Stamford Police Association Plans Annual Bike Helmet Giveaway for Kids

The Stamford Police Association’s annual Timothy Coppola Bicycle Helmet Giveaway will be held on April 25.

More than 900 helmets will be given away in the annual program planned by the SPA, the Stamford Elks Club #899, the VFW Springdale Post 9617 and Fairway Market. Children must be present to receive a helmet which will be properly fitted by professionals.

The program also will include a canned food drive for the Food Bank and a police K-9 demonstration.

It’ll all be held from 9 a.m. to noon at Fairway Market, 699 Canal St.
