Stamford Police Department Recognizes 6 Longtime Members

STAMFORD, CT — Six longtime members of the Stamford Police Department were recently recognized for their 40 years of service.

Captain Richard Conklin, Lt. Eugene Dohmann, Sgt. Robert Shawinsky, Sgt. Wayne Scutari, Officer Edward Rondano and Officer Alan Deluca have all been with the department since Nov. 10, 1980, according to a Facebook post.

Additionally, the department announced Shawinsky retired this week and offered well wishes.

"A very special thank you and best of luck to Sgt. Robert Shawinsky, who retired [Tuesday] from service," police said on Facebook. "Best of health and happiness in your retirement."

All six men were thanked for their decades of work and all they will continue to do. Conklin and Dohmann also received flowers for their work in the city's West Side neighborhood over the years.
