Stamford Postpones Garbage & Recycling Pickup Jan. 17
Inclement weather is expected late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

STAMFORD, CT — With inclement weather expected late Tuesday night into Wednesday, Stamford officials have postponed garbage and recycling pickup on Wednesday.
Initial reports were for 3 to 5 inches of snow overnight, but those estimates have been reduced for Stamford and other communities along the Connecticut coast and the I-95 corridor.
However, with the snow expected to impact the morning commute, officials decided to move pickup ahead a day: Wednesday's pickup is moved to Thursday; Thursday's to Friday; and Friday's to Saturday.
