Stamford Public Schools Names 5 Assistant Principals
The school district announced the appointments of several assistant principals across Stamford on Wednesday.

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Public Schools (SPS) announced five new assistant principals across the district on Wednesday, according to a news release. All positions are effective as of Aug. 2.
- Sara Paolini, Hart Magnet Elementary School
- Randy Bilik, Newfield Elementary School
- Iuliana Roata, Stillmeadow Elementary School
- Jillian Churchill, Cloonan Middle School
- Robson de Andrade, Jr., Rippowam Middle School.
Paolini fills the position recently vacated by the retirement of Mary Ann Mara, and Bilik fills the position vacated by the promotion of Sharon Longo to principal at Newfield. The assistant principal positions at Stillmeadow, Cloonan and Rippowam are the result of a recent budget reallocation, according to a news release from SPS, which replaced the former administrative intern positions at each of those schools with a certified assistant principal position.

Sara Paolini
Paolini served as teacher leader for Student Support and as administrative intern at Davenport Ridge Elementary School before coming to Hart Magnet Elementary. Previously she was an instructional support teacher and a classroom teacher at Davenport. She holds a bachelor's degree in communication from Manhattan College in Riverdale, N.Y., a Master of Education from Sacred Heart University and an Intermediate Supervision and Administration certification from the University of Bridgeport.
Randy Bilik
Bilik most recently served as a teacher leader for Student Support and as administrative intern at Westover Magnet Elementary School. Previously he was a Scientific Research Based Intervention (SRBI) support teacher at Stillmeadow Elementary School and a teacher of multiple grade levels at Stark Elementary School. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Western New England College, in Springfield, Mass., and a Master of Arts in teaching, a Certificate of Advanced Study in reading consulting and a pending Intermediate Administration certification from Sacred Heart University.

Iuliana Roata
Roata was an administrative intern at Stillmeadow Elementary School before assuming the assistant principal role. She currently serves an adjunct professor at Sacred Heart University. Roata has held positions of SRBI coach and Reading Teacher. She holds a bachelor's degree from Alexander Ioan Cuza University in Romania; a Master of Education from University of Bridgeport; a Sixth Year Degree in Advanced Studies in Literacy and Reading Consulting, Connecticut Literacy Specialist Program (CLSP) from Sacred Heart University and an Intermediate Certificate in Administration from Sacred Heart University.
Jillian Churchill
Churchill most recently served as administrative intern at Cloonan Middle School. She was also a Language Arts teacher at Scofield Magnet Middle School and a third grade teacher at Newfield Elementary School. Churchill holds a bachelor's degree in English from Central Connecticut State University; a Master of Arts and Connecticut certification in elementary education from Fairfield University; and a Connecticut Administrative certification and a pending Sixth Year Education Leadership certification from Sacred Heart University.
Robson de Andrade, Jr.
Prior to being named assistant principal at Rippowam Middle School, de Andrade worked there as an as administrative intern. He currently serves as a Mathematics instructor at Post University. He has also held the positions of Mathematics Instructional Coach at Rippowam. De Andrade holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a Master of Arts in earth and planetary science from Western Connecticut State University, and a Sixth Year School Administration certification from Sacred Heart University.
