Stamford Rec Announces Soccer Camp Giveaway!

Stamford Recreation Services has partnered with Challenger Sports to provide a FREE week of British Soccer Camp to one soccer-loving Stamford child between the ages of 3-16!

To enter, parents or guardians should post a photo or video showcasing their child’s love for soccer (playing soccer, watching soccer, talking about soccer, etc.) on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #BritishSoccerStamford between May 24 and June 14, 2018. Submissions will be judged based on overall quality of the content (photo/video), creativity, as well as adherence/appropriateness to theme. The Stamford Recreation/Challenger British Soccer Summer Camp is an innovative curriculum that develops skills, speed and confidence in players of all ages and abilities. The program provides boys and girls with the rare opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international expert’s right in Stamford. In addition to teaching new skills and improving game performance, each British Soccer Camp provides lessons in character development, cultural education and is the most fun your child can have learning the sport they love! British Soccer Camp Details: Winner will select one week-long session as well as an age-appropriate camp experience as described below. Registration is currently open for British Soccer Camp, and families who do not win are encouraged to register directly with Stamford Recreation Services.

First Kicks (Ages 3-5)

This innovative program, created by childcare specialists, introduces children to the very basic skills of soccer in a fun, progressive and caring manner. First Kicks activities will include running, turning, stopping, jumping, kicking, throwing and catching. Each day we will aim to help improve balance, agility, coordination, social skills and cognitive ability. Your child's confidence and enthusiasm for the game will grow during our fun soccer challenges! Parental involvement is welcomed! Value: $110.00

Half Day (Ages 6-16)
9:00AM-12:00PM
This is our most popular camp program and will feature individual skill development, core techniques, one on one skills, freestyle soccer, small sided games and our Camp World Cup. The Half Day Camp is suitable for all skill levels and the campers will be separated by age. Campers will also spend time learning about Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Sportsmanship & Leadership. Value: $174.00

Half Day (Ages 6-16)
9:00AM-3:00PM
Full Day camp runs for six hours a day from Monday to Friday. Sessions are split into 2 x 3 hour blocks. A more advanced camp for players looking for a more competitive training environment. The Full Day Camp will follow the Half Day Camp syllabus in the morning and will then focus on game-related techniques, tactical development, skills testing and coached match play in the afternoon. The first session of each day will place emphasis on skill development and mastery of core techniques through individual, small group practices and coaches games. Value: $245.00
