Stamford Recreation Announces End Of 2021 Summer Beach Schedule
There are some changes in hours and permitted swim areas as summer winds down in Stamford.
STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Recreation has announced changes in the hours and swim areas at city beaches and pools as summer winds down.
Cummings Beach and West Beach
Lifeguard hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

- Weekends only beginning Aug. 30 to Sept. 6 at open beach locations
- On Aug. 9, Stamford beaches began to utilize reduced swim areas. All areas are marked with red flags. Lifeguards will direct swimmer sand those utilizing the water to remain within the marked areas.
Cove Island East Beach: CLOSED for the season, effective Aug. 25. No lifeguard on duty.
Quigley and Heroy are both CLOSED for the season. No lifeguards are on duty.
