Stamford Recreation Provides Affordable April Vacation Camps

April Vacation for Stamford Public Schools is right around the corner. Check out Stamford Recreation Services offerings for April 9-13.

Stamford Recreation is offering a several camps for children during Stamford Public School’s April Vacation from Monday April 9-Friday April 13. April Vacation Camp (Grades K-4)

  • Location: Stamford Recreation Star Center
  • Date: April 9-April 13
  • Time: 8:00AM- 4:30 PM
  • Fee: $150.00/child
  • Description: If you are looking for something fun for your child to do during the break, look no further! Each day campers will be involved in gym games, arts & crafts, sports, board games, outside activities and more! All campers should bring a bagged lunch each day and the camp is open to a max of 75 students. Instructor: Recreation Services Staff

  • Fee: $175.00/child
  • Description: This class is great for beginners to the intermediate LegoTM builders. Children will build in a variety of formats some to include group or individual. Use your imagination to build a variety of moving contraptions or use our plans. Build, create and race against your friends. Pictures will be emailed home. Please bring a lunch and a snack. No Lego’s will be taken home. Instructor: Computer Education Staff

Fit To Go Spring Break Camp (K-5)

  • Description: Girls K-5 (can book younger brother K-2) Camps can include: Rebounding (mini-trampoline aerobic) Yoga, Hula Hooping, Zumba, Hip Hop, Drums Alive, Kickboxing, Circuit Training, Fitness equipment like Treadmills, Balance Boards, Equalizers nutrition and healthy lifestyle ed and the how to’s of healthy snack making Face Painting, Playground fun, Video Gaming, Karaoke Lunches, Fit Art, Theater Arts and more. Mixed Media Art Vacation Camp by Paint, Draw & More (Ages 5-13)

  • Fee: $310.00 per child for the week/ All materials included
  • Description: This fun vacation art camp offered by Paint, Draw & More! is designed for students ages 5 - 13. Each day is comprised of a full day of creating mixed media fine art, some of which may include drawing, painting, mask making, sculpture, bookmaking, cartooning, collage, printmaking, and group projects. Students will explore a variety of mediums and be encouraged to break artistic boundaries and express their creativity in new and exciting ways. A compilation of the week’s activities will end in an art show for the parents. During our camp session we will have a lunch break. This camp will run Monday through Thursday. The camp is open to a maximum of 20 students with division of age groups. The teaching staff is comprised of skilled area artists trained by Paint, Draw & More!   • Description: For Boys and Girls ages 4-12. This camp offers a combination of traditional sports games, physical education activities, and cooperative games. We ask that our full day campers bring a (peanut butter free) snack, lunch and water bottle, and our half day campers bring a peanut butter free snack and water bottle.

TGA Premier Spring Golf Camp (K-5)

  • Location: Westover School Gym & Outside Field
  • Dates: April 9 - April 13
  • Time: 9:00AM - 3:00PM
  • Fee: $450.00 per child for 8 weeks
  • Description: Students are taken through the basic concepts of golf like putting & chipping, to hitting fairway woods. All classes will have equipment provided, real golf clubs varying sizes, golf balls, hitting mats, target nets, along with ancillary equipment. By the end of the program, students will have confidence in their game to be playing on the golf course.Instructor: TGA Certified Golf Instructor
