A Republican Announces He Will Challenge Sen. Blumenthal
The incumbent U.S. Senator from Greenwich hasn't announced whether he will seek a second term but a Stamford Republican wants the seat.
Incumbent Democratic U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal of Greenwich hasn’t announced whether he’ll seek a second term but that hasn’t deterred a Stamford resident from announcing that he will seek the Republican nomination for the Senate seat.
August Wolf, 53, said this week that he has tossed his hat into the political arena and wants to run for the seat held by the Greenwich senator since 2011, according to The CT Mirror.
Wolf, who is a Princeton University graduate, works for Lebenthal Wealth Advisors and was a champion shot-putter who competed in the 1984 Olympics.
