STAMFORD, CT — One of Stamford's own sang the National Anthem in a packed Yankee Stadium on Sunday.

Second Lt. Joseph Colavito of the 6th Recruiting and Retention Battalion in the CT National Guard belted out his rendition in front of 44,130 fans prior to the game against the Kansas City Royals.

On Tuesday, the Stamford Police Department shouted out Colavito on Facebook, and noted both he and his wife have sung the National Anthem at many Stamford events.
