STAMFORD, CT — A Stamford resident recently won a big prize after playing Powerball, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The resident won $50,000 from a ticket that was purchased at a gas station convenience store in Shelton.

Powerball is a multi-state game. The minimum Jackpot is $20 million. Increases for each game are determined based on sales in the current environment, the CT Lottey website says.

It costs just $2 per wager to play Powerball.
