Stamford Residents Still Urged To Remain Inside Due To Air Quality
Air quality in the Stamford and tri-state area continues to exceed unhealthy levels due to smoky conditions from Canadian wildfires.

STAMFORD, CT — The city of Stamford, the Stamford Department of Health and Human Services, and the Connecticut Department of Public Health all continue to recommend that residents avoid outdoor activities and exposure Thursday and remain indoors.
The air quality in the Stamford and tri-state area continues to exceed unhealthy levels due to smoky conditions from Canadian wildfires. As a result, all after-school and recreational activities have been canceled in Stamford on Thursday.
The National Weather Service has extended its air quality alert until 12 a.m. on Friday.

The CT Department of Health advises residents to keep all windows and doors closed to keep smoke outdoors.
