The boys basketball team looks to rebound from a disappointing 61-50 season-opening loss to Greenwich on Friday when the Black Knights hosts Staples at 7 p.m.
Barry Boderick scored 16 points and brother Bryan Boderick added for Stamford, which faced a 57-37 deficit against Greenwich before a late run made the final a bit more respectable.

Staples opened with a 59-49 loss to Norwalk and also enters the contest at 0-1.
In other games, Westhill opens its season at Trumbull, which fell to Fairfield Warde 55-43 in its opener, and Trinity Catholic visits Norwalk.

The Crusaders opened defense of their Class M state title with a 74-43 win over Harding as Kevin Leumene scored 21 points and Jason Boswell added 19.
On the girls side, Trumbull (3-0) is at Westhill (0-2), Trinity Catholic (2-1) hosts Norwalk (0-2) and Stamford visits Staples in a battle of 3-0 teams.
