Defending champion North Stamford (3-0) tops pool A while Stamford American and National Lione are 2-0. Springdale and Northrop are 0-3.
In pool B, Federal - the only Stamford team in the group - is 1-2. Pool play continues through Sunday.
-- Three players from Stamford high schools will be playing in Friday's 15th annual Hall of Fame Football Classic at West Haven's Ken Strong Stadium (7:30 p.m.)
The contest matches pits graduated high school seniors from Fairfield County against graduated seniors from New Haven County. New Haven leads the series, 10-4.
On the Fairfield Country roster are Trinity Catholic running back, Westhill defensive back Zac Emilcer and Stamford defensive tackle Mark Robinson.
The game is presented by the Ralph Desantis Fairfield County and the Gene Casey New Haven County Chapters of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. Tickets are $ 7 each and will be available at the gate.
